NetApp Certified Support Engineer – ONTAP Specialist

The exam tests a candidate’s ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve NetApp ONTAP Storage Systems. 

Candidates should have six to 12 months of experience with troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of NetApp ONTAP Storage Systems. 

Candidates must first achieve the NetApp Certified Support Engineer ONTAP Professional certification.

You should be able to do these tasks: 

• Troubleshoot NetApp ONTAP Storage Systems. 

• Analyze NetApp ONTAP Storage Systems. 

• Resolve NetApp ONTAP Storage Systems.

• Tools available for support or troubleshooting

• Data replication issues 

• Structure of ONTAP OS 

• Troubleshoot ONTAP OS 

• Handle panic events 

Domain 2. Hardware 

• Hardware troubleshooting 

• Troubleshooting SP or BMC 

• Hardware components in a Fibre Channel environment 

• Cluster interconnect infrastructure 

•  MetroCluster configurations 

Domain 3. Protocols  

• ONTAP NAS configurations 

• ONTAP SAN configurations 

• S3 server configurations 

Domain 4. Performance  

• ONTAP performance concepts 

• Troubleshooting ONTAP performance 

• Software-defined ONTAP Solutions
