Migrate data seamlessly and efficiently using SnapMirror data migration for Google Cloud NetApp Volumes. Migrate file data from an existing NetApp storage system, either on-prem or in-cloud. ONTAP SnapMirror technology is utilized to automatically replicate all file data including preservation of existing snapshots of the ONTAP source volume to a new Google Cloud NetApp Volume. SnapMirror's asynchronous replication allows data to be copied to Google Cloud while applications on the source system remain fully operational, minimizing downtime during migration. Final synchronization only moves changed blocks, reducing transfer time and expenses. Additionally, SnapMirror preserves all file metadata like permissions, timestamps and attributes so no special migration tools are required.
