Google Cloud NetApp Volumes, a fully managed, secure, and performant file storage service that supports SAP, Microsoft, and Linux-based applications, announces general availability of integrated backups in the Flex service level. Integrated backup is a key data protection feature that allows customers to backup volume data to NetApp managed Google Cloud Storage buckets. This provides a backup copy stored on secondary storage separate from the product data. Prior to this, customers had to use cross-region replication to satisfy data backup requirements for a second copy of data.
