When the global pandemic forced school shutdowns in early 2020, the demand for virtual learning skyrocketed by 3,000%. Blackboard, now a part of Anthology, saw usage of its virtual classroom tool increase by more than 45 times in just three weeks. To ensure its SaaS tool, Blackboard Learn, could handle this unprecedented spike in demand, Blackboard needed to migrate its data to the cloud. Taking this step helped ensure students had reliable access to online learning at a critical time.
