By now you’ve probably seen the good news: NetApp was recently named Company of the Year in the Global Hybrid Cloud Storage Management Industry for 2024 by Frost & Sullivan. This prestigious recognition is proof that the NetApp® BlueXP™ unified control plane solves our customers’ key challenges around building an intelligent data infrastructure.

The report is very detailed, and I encourage you to check it out for yourself.

To summarize, Frost & Sullivan concluded that NetApp BlueXP “delivers seamless management across storage with integrated health and analytics, protection, governance, optimization, and mobility.” This “seamless management” gives customers the ability to maintain consistency across policies, procedures, and services, reducing complexity and simplifying IT administration.

Frost & Sullivan noted the following key features of BlueXP as being particularly innovative in delivering a unified control plane for our customers’ intelligent data infrastructure

Consistent, holistic storage management

In today’s uncertain macroeconomic environment, organizations need to maximize the value of their data wherever it resides, but legacy architectures often make that more expensive and labor-intensive than it should be. To optimize data usage and streamline the implementation of next-generation capabilities like AI, organizations need an easy, efficient, and consistent data infrastructure.

Frost & Sullivan noted that the BlueXP unified control plane delivers optimal visibility and control of data services across on-premises and cloud environments. Customers can discover, deploy, manage, and optimize their data wherever it lives. Frost & Sullivan also compared BlueXP to other cloud management offerings. They noted that while competitive solutions focus solely on infrastructure instances, BlueXP gives customers the ability to manage data within the instance as well as in the surrounding infrastructure. The result is a holistic solution that unifies data management, storage, and protection without increasing IT sprawl or complexity.

AI-enabled automation capabilities

Many organizations rely increasingly on automation in their hybrid multicloud environments to make sure that their users have the resources they need when they need them. In the case of AI implementations, it’s vital that data is free flowing and accessible at all times while maintaining consistent security and governance.

Frost & Sullivan remarked that BlueXP “fills a much-needed gap in the hybrid cloud management market,” with a “forward-thinking” AIOps approach that helps customers streamline and simplify storage and data management across hybrid multicloud environments.

The BlueXP advanced AIOps features give customers the insights, automation, and detailed activity auditing that help administrators make intelligent choices about data.

Frost & Sullivan specifically called out the BlueXP wizards and policy-based automation features for their ability to help customers reduce risk and expand IT skillsets.

Designed for any environment

Frost & Sullivan noted that the BlueXP SaaS model makes it easy to deploy in any environment, giving customers complete visibility and unified control over resources that are on premises, in public clouds, or in regional private clouds. With support for AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, NetApp is the only intelligent data infrastructure provider that delivers first-party cloud storage services in all major hyperscalers.

For customers in heavily restricted sectors, NetApp provides government secure clouds and private “dark site” modes that help organizations stay in compliance while maximizing data management efficiency.

Continuing NetApp’s legacy of intelligent data infrastructure innovation

This recognition from Frost & Sullivan confirms NetApp’s leadership as an intelligent data infrastructure innovator and highlights our market position in delivering world-class performance for our customers across all industries. The report affirms our commitment as a company to helping customers maximize the value of their data across hybrid and multicloud environments.

We’re proud to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan. Be sure to read the report for yourself and share it with your peers.
